Q : Hi, I've ordered a sample of this in the 600 x 600 size as it said it was suitable for floors and walls, is the 800 x 800 also suitable for walls and are they the same colour and finish? Thanks very much

Advice

Extreme White 800x800mm can be suitable to use on a wall, providing you are using the correct grout and adhesive. We would only recommend using the 600x600mm or 600x300mm sizes. Walls can only hold so much weight per square meter dependant on the substrate. We always multiply the weight of the tile by the number of tiles per square meter then add an extra 4kg to cover the weight of the adhesive. If you wanted to use the 800x800mm tiles, these would weigh 16.1kg per tile. Please look at the guide below to see if your wall can hold the weight of the tiles. We would also advise that you seek advice from your fitter or tiler before installation. Wall Substrates Maximum Weight of Tiling per m² Gypsum Plaster 20Kg/m² Gypsum Plasterboard Direct (without a plaster skim) 32Kg/m² Plywood (WBP) Up to 30Kg/m² Lightweight Tile Backing Boards* Up to 40Kg/m². Dependent upon the type and thickness of the board. Glass Reinforced Cement Sheets Up to 50kg/m², Dependant upon the type and thickness of the board. Gypsum Fibre boards Approximately 35- 40Kg/m²

Q : Are these tiles a brilliant pure white as I have looked at some and they are off white/very pale grey looking

Advice

Thank you for your question. Yes, this tile is our whitest tile and is a paper white, we would recommend having a free cut sample just to ensure it is the colour you are looking for.

Q : Is the extreme white polished porcelain tiles slippie.

Answers (1)
Advice

Thank you for your question. These tiles have an anti-slip rating of 9, which means they have been tested as slip resistant, however, there is a chance they could become slippy if there is no resistance on your footwear, or if there is standing water. However, polished tiles are used both commercially and residentially and are no more slippery than other floorings.
