Inspiration for Using Mosaic Tiles

Adding a gorgeous accent or full feature wall using mosaic tiles is a wonderful idea for giving your plain room a little extra something so I thought today we could look at some amazing inspiration for beautiful mosaic tiles to give you some ideas of how you might incorporate them into your kitchen or bathroom design – or really anywhere you want your eye to be drawn.

Using them to tile a whole wall creates a feature effect and I adore the use of these pink glass mosaics as seen here for a girly glam look. The darker nearly black tile keeps it from being too ‘sugary’. Using a white tile on adjoining walls means the tiles stand out without being overpowering.

Glass can be used as a simple accent to a plainer tile allowing the eye to move around the room but why not use them vertically on a wall as in this impressive shower? Our Grey Stone Glass Mosaic works beautifully with a larger format tile creating a contrast to keep a roomscape interesting.

I also love the effect of these Perla Mosaic Effect Wall Tiles. Perfect for adding texture without being overpowering in a room and as a full tile, you’ll have less grout lines and joins to keep clean!

For an earthy neutral look, you can’t do much better than our Expresso Marble Mosaic Tiles. I love how soft movement in these tiles really gives a room a bit of energy without being loud or fussy and the variation keeps things from being too plain. The longer rectangular shape is also unexpected so it’s perfect for a more contemporary space.

If you are looking to add texture and give your home a more rustic look, then you might want to consider our Canyon Cream Stone Tiles. Whether used to contrast with contemporary fittings or to enhance a more traditional scheme, these are sure to create a statement.

And finally, there’s no doubt that ‘black is the new black’ in interior design and embracing darker colours in our homes is all the rage. So why not bring a bit of that drama with our Royal Black Gloss Mosaic Effect Tile? Whether you choose to create a feature wall as in our bathroom below or cover an entire room in these tiles for a dramatic moody effect, this is definitely a look for those that like to make a statement!
