We’re always looking at ways of combining textures and surface finishes, so that’s exactly what we’re gonna do in this here article! Read on to learn how to pair vinyl tiles with textured soft furnishings…
Rock’n’Roll With It…
Our Frisco Luxury Vinyl Tiles are designed to look like real stone tiles fashioned from metamorphic rock. Something with such a strong look, especially when combined with Underground black wall tiles, will need a something soft underfoot to make the bath time experience really luxurious. Underfloor heating is a must – take a look at our Ezewarm cabling kits and mats so you can ensure the new bathroom stays warm and cosy all year round.
Catch Those Drips
Bring texture into the bathroom with one or two bath mats, such as the striking black and white Chevron Turtle Mat, available from Hurn & Hurn, which will soak up all the splashes and damp footprints. On a style note, one of the most effective and dare we say, easiest, ways of updating a bathroom colour scheme is to re-paint the exterior of your tub. Always use appropriate paint, of course – acrylic eggshell is generally a good choice, and go for bold! Under The Weather (Not!)

Stone tiles, whether ceramic, porcelain, LVT or the real thing, often need brightening up though, so we suggest a bunch of bright cushions, a jolly rug or contrasting colourful paint or wallpaper.

The beauty of pale, oak-look flooring is that you can go to town with colourful accessories. Keep it cosy with some pure Shetland wool cushions and throws from Bronte by Moon. Left, the Tutti Frutti cushion has a fringe and buttons – so cosy looking! The Hampstead Hanging Nest Chair from Groovy Home has also been cosied-up with the addition of a throw – but in fact the whole room is a lovely combination of texture – from the plants and pots to the cane and rattan and blanket. Sleek & Sophisticated
These are our Portland Oak Luxury Vinyl Tiles, and are such a fantastic choice for an open plan space – they work within a kitchen-dining scenario, and can also be continued straight through to a living/family room too. Keep the business end of the kitchen clear of rugs (unless they are the washable or woven vinyl sort) but add warmth, colour and texture with rugs, a squidgy sofa and cushions to identify and focus on the relaxing areas. And Finally…
Here are a few ideas for injecting texture and colour into your living rooms.
