The Perfect Tiles for a Rustic Kitchen

The kitchen, as we know, is normally the heart of the home and the one that carries the most romantic notions of bonding. It’s where we prepare meals for loved ones, where we can get creative and where we naturally convene and gather. There is a warmth to this room, not just due to the oven’s heat but also the relationships we forge here, with family and friends, whether that’s in just making a cup of tea or preparing a traditional Sunday roast.

The popularity and charm of a rustic kitchen never abates. It’s a look that is neither trendy nor old-fashioned and seems to always create a nostalgia in us of happy times. Creating that look in your kitchen couldn’t be easier, especially when combined with rustic tiles that lend themselves to a more traditional or farmhouse style.

Today, I’m sharing six different ranges of tiles that you can use to create the perfect rustic kitchen.

Our Craquele range is one of our most popular brick tiles. The crackled glaze of these tiles lends an aged appearance to it, perfect for a homey look. It comes in a variety of warm neutral shades meant to mix and match for a casual look.

For old world charm with a more contemporary twist, consider our London Brick range. It’s rough brick effect appearance in either a white washed colour or traditional reddish hue is juxtaposed with it’s lean shape, giving you the best of both worlds.

The traditional, hand-made feel of our Hampton range is perfect for the quintessential country look. With a variety of colours to choose from, you can mix and match these for a more traditional feel or use a single shade tile for calming effect in your kitchen.

Our West End range is versatile enough to be be used on either the wall or the floor with a charming brick effect perfect for a more traditional feel. Used on the floor as it’s done below and combined with a simple white metro tile, this country kitchen becomes the perfect spot for family time.

Another brick effect tile (but without the mess!) is our Murallo range. This rustic wall tile could work in a country cottage or a traditional style kitchen as well as one with a more industrial feel. Pair it with a wood worktop and copper accessories for a warm inviting look.

And finally, don’t forget about your floors! We carry a range of wood effect floor tiles as well as wall tiles and our Rural tile range could be the perfect finishing touch. While they may look like reclaimed wood, no one has to know they are actually ceramic tiles and super easy to keep clean.
