Fantastic

These giant floor tiles (we went for 120cmx120cm) are fantastic. The grouting we were recommended means we were able to make the whole room look seamless and like a full sandy concrete effect. They work with underfloor heating and feel great underfoot. TM were great sending us next day delivery extra 3 tiles as we had miscounted. They suited the first batch perfectly.

Completely different colour to pictures and sample

The sample received was a slightly light beige/sand tone as shown in picture and variance was expected but still in keeping with the project. Tiles that arrived are completely grey and concrete like with large flecks of dark grey black in them. Too late in my project to fuss around sending back but definitely not as described.

We are sorry that you are unhappy with the tiles that you have received. Tiles are produced in batches and can vary from batch to batch in terms of shade, calibration, etc. However, should you wish for us to investigate this further please do get in touch with our customer service team.

Can these tiles be used outside

logo

Our advice: Yes, these tiles can be used outside. With them being 10mm in thickness, the tiles would need to be laid on a concrete base with a full bed of adhesive.

As this tile is not available until end of next month, could I ask which tile is closest to this as an alternative? Specifically which smaller size tiles would achieve a similar look please?

logo

Our advice: Hi. We would recommend having a look at Elven Beige Matt Floor Tiles.

I’m going to be tiling a large area of floor after lifting 1960’s teak parquet flooring which I believe is laid on bitumen- I want to be sure that once the floor tiles have been laid that the dark colour of any bitumen won’t bleed through. Should the floor be screened first or can I lay the tiles normally? Thanks ????

logo

Our advice: We would never advise tiling directly onto Bitchumen as the oils it releases during heat influxes cause problems with even the best adhesives. I would recommend applying a screed first or fixing something like our HardieBacker Board SKU 445690 and then adhering the tiles with Keraquick White Fast Setting Adhesive SKU:012520 mixed with Latex Plus SKU:215106UK at a 1:1 ratio.

I want outside tiles 120 X 120 can these go outside ?

logo

Our advice: Yes, these tiles are suitable for outdoor use. They would need to be laid on a solid concrete bed using adhesive and grout.

Justin 11/02/20

Hi, what grout is used in the photo or what grout is would recommended for closest colour match. Thanks

logo

Our advice: As the image on the website is manufacturer generated, we are unsure what this would be. The best match to this tile would be our Ultracolor Limestone SKU# 6029905A.

Do these tiles need sealing?

logo

Our advice: These tiles do not require any sealing no.

Are these tiles suitable with underfloor heating?

logo

Our advice: Yes, these tiles are suitable for underfloor heating. We always recommend encasing the underfloor heating in our Ultraplan screed to protect it from potential damage during laying and removal of tiles. This also distributes heat evenly through all of the tiles to avoid getting any cold spots. Many Thanks
