Q : Hi I have a few dogs and want to put these in my kitchen which is busy, will they stay good meaning not scratch with dogs mail and being mopped everyday will they keep there shine
Hi there, Yes Porcelain tiles are highly durable making them suitable for high traffic areas. They will however require sealing, I would recommend using Fila MP90 Polished Porcelain & Stone Sealer SKU:430670 This will help maintain their Polished finish. For everyday cleaning I would recommend Fila Tiles & Stone Cleaner SKU:430655 Which will help maintain the sealant and the shine of the tile. It has a Neutral PH and is biodegradable which is great for use when you have pets in the home.
Q : Hi , I have been told these tiles will discolour over time and will scratch easily . Can you advise on this ? Thanks
That would not be a statement we would make. The tiles have a glazed finish that is then polished to a mirror finish. If maintained using PH-neutral cleaners the tiles will not discolour. This tile will not scratch any more than any other tile. It has a PEI rating of 4
Q : Do you have to put grout in between or can they be laid without
These tiles have to be installed with grout, we would suggest a 3mm joint for a floor, 2mm joint for a wall.
Q : I would like these in my open plan lounge/kitchen. Would they be suitable?
These tiles would be ideal for use in an open plan area. The large size would mean minimal grout lines also which is perfect for an open plan area.
