Great product

It took a while for me to submit my review as we had a delay in installing it! That said, the kit arrived very quickly and when it came to installing it was a breeze. We fitted it into our hallway, which isn't the warmest of places. We were fortunate that our consumer box was reasonably close to the installation so this added to it's ease of connecting. Unfortunately we cannot comment on how it works as it has been so warm since we fitted it! It was cool enough for one day to come on and the effect was great. So hats off to Tile Mountain, great product and service.

Thermostat, heating mat insulation and floor tiles

All tested and work fine. The first thermostat did not have a heat sensor cable but Tile mountain sent a replacement immediately great delivery and very helpful, will not go anywhere else in future.

exemat

we have had the ezemat fitted and the electrician tested it to check it was working. The self levelling cement covering is drying and we are now waiting for the kitchen tiles to be laid. However, one of the builders said we had to wait 10 weeks before we could turn on the heating which no one else had mentioned. Is this true? I was very impressed with the helpfulness of your staff when I ordered this product. I had not planned to have underfloor heating but when it was suggested, I had a short time scale to get it here ready to be fitted when the electrician was due to come. The order was processed quickly and arrived when it was due. Thank you so much.

CAN I PUT DIRECTLI UNDER FLOOR TILE OR NEED TO LAY SOME THING ON

logo

Our advice: The matting should be affixed to the substrate with a thin skimming of tile adhesive. You can then either encase the matting allow it to set and then install the tiles on top of the encasing or you can go straight on top of the matting with tile adhesive and lay the tiles directly.

How do i join two matts

logo

Our advice: We couldn't advise as a certified electrician would need to be employed to join any matting together.

Where can I fine the lengths of the mats unrolls go determine how much I need.

logo

Our advice: On our website, when you go to the underfloor heating matt there will be a drop-down box which says "select underfloor heating". Within that drop-down box there are options of how many m2 you would like.

I have a room that requires 17 M2. Do you have matting to cover this area size or is there another solution ?

logo

Our advice: As you can only join two matts to a thermostat we would advise pairing a 6m2 and a 10 m2 matt to cover the required area. The reason I have advised a 16m2 area in matting is due to a limit in the size you can have linked to one thermostat. This shouldn't be a problem as the outer area of the room will be heated by the matts in the centre.

If we wanted to use electric underfloor heating as a primary heating source for the entire down stairs portion of the house, I.e living room, kitchen diner. Will 150w or 200w underfloor heating be recommended

logo

Our advice: The difference in using the 160 watts and 200 watts is the speed in which it achieves optimum temperature and the area covered per thermostat will be lower on the 200 watt.
