Q : Hi thee, I love the effect of this tile and want to have it as a feature wall in our shower, a similar tile I have seen at a competitors has terrible reviews saying that it leaks, needs tanking and chips when cutting. The reviews here suggest it's fine in a shower area do we need to tank it? Do anything special so it doesn't leak?. ( this may be a completely different make up of tile to the one we have seen so not comparable and no offence meant!). Thanks vicky
Thank you for the question, The Brix tiles are suitable for a shower area. We would always recommend to waterproof a shower wall, however there will be no issue with the tile leaking. The tile you may have seen may be one that does not require to be grouted, therefore it is not watertight. Because Brix is a glazed ceramic tile and requires to be grouted, you would not have an issue using it in a shower area.
Q : Is brix stratum available in white or light grey & how much please
Thank you for your question. We do not have the Brix in a light grey, we do, however, have Brix White it's product code is SKU: 436450, however, please be advised that it is in clearance and once it has sold we will not be getting any more.
Q : What colour grout should I use with this tile?
Thank you for your question. While it is down to personal preference when choosing grout colours, we would recommend either a light or dark grey grout with this tile. If you would like your grout lines to match up with the lighter shades in the tile, we recommend our Ultracolor Manhattan 110 (Light Grey) (SKU: 6011005A). If you would like to match up with darker shades in the tile, we recommend our Ultracolor Cement Grey 113 (SKU: 6011305A). If you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me on 01782 223822.
Q : Can you tell me when these will be back in stock please? Thank you.
The Brix Stratum Anthracite Wall Tile will be back in stock hopefully the week commencing the 16th November.
Q : My tiler has asked if these tiles are suitable to be sealed?
Thank you for your question. These tiles would not require sealing.
