Don’t slip up when it comes to choosing the right adhesive, opt for MapeiGrip D2 - a non-slip, ready mixed adhesive suitable for installing most internal ceramic tiles in wet areas.

Key Features

  • Ready mixed - use straight from the tub

  • High initial grab

  • Suitable for ceramics only - 300x300mm or smaller

  • Excellent budget adhesive for tiling in wet areas

  • Suitable for use with porous bodied tiles and mosaics

Mapegrip D2 is an adhesive in water dispersion based on synthetic resins, selectively graded minerals and various additives. Mapegrip D2 is a ready-to-use creamy paste that is easily trowelled with good high initial grab and thixotropic properties for installing wall tiles without slippage. When set, Mapegrip D2 has high bond strength and is sufficiently deformable for moderate vibration and deformation of building materials. Excellent waterproof properties make this adhesive the choice for wetrooms, shower areas, utility rooms, and bathrooms.

Q : Do you have similar product suitable for 300 x 600 tiles?

Answers (1)
Advice

We do not have a ready mixed adhesive suitable for the larger format tiles, you will need to use a powdered adhesive as this will dry using a chemical reaction rather than air which is restricted with a bigger tile. We have the fast setting adhesive Keraquick SKU 012120UK or a slow setting adhesive Adesilex P9 SKU 005120. both suitable for the tiles.

Answers (1)
Advice

Our Mapegrip D2 Ready Mix Adhesive 15kg would cover between 4 and 6 square meters depending on the size of the wall tile that is being installed.

Q : Hi I wish to tile over an existing tiled floor with 600 x 300 tiles. can you advise if I need a primer and the best adhesive to use, I would prefer ready mixed if possible. Thank you.

Advice

It is always best practice to remove existing tiles before tiling, however, if you are happy that they are fully secure we would recommend using Eco Prim Grip 5kg SKU: 1560005 as a primer and Keraquick White Fast Setting Adhesive 20kg SKU: 012520 as an adhesive.
