Q : Hi, the tile says anti-slip rating R9, can you tell me what that means in lay man's terms?!are they non-slip enough for small children?

Advice

Hello, thank you for your question. When a tile has an anti-slip rating, this means that it has been tested by the manufacturer to measure how slip resistant the tile is and how much friction it creates when objects are passed across it. Even with a slip resistant surface once something has been spilled on it creating a barrier between the surface and an object this instantly decreases the slip resistance. For example, if you spilt some water onto a tile the friction drastically decreases. However in its original form is a lot safer than other tiles that can not be confirmed to have slip resistant properties. The levels of slip resistant tiles are graded from R9 up to R13. R13 being the most resistant. Therefore, the Quartz Stone Grey (SKU 435365) having an R9 rating has the lowest slip resistance, so due to the fact that it is rated means there is some resistance there, however not as much as matt or riven tiles. We would recommend ordering a sample to check the tiles suitability for your project. If you have any further questions on this tile or any of our other products, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Q : Hi can these be cut with a normal tile cutters or do you need special equipment? Thanks

Answers (1)
Advice

We would recommend using a wet wheel cutter with any agglomerate tile. Due to the thickness the normal tile cutter would not be sufficient. If you need any further assistance please call us on 01782 223822 and we will happily help.

Q : What grout and what colour grout would be best with this grey quartz tile for bathroom floor? and wall?

Answers (1)
Advice

Thank you for your question. For this tile, we would recommend Kerapoxy Ice White, as this grout can have glitter added to it to continue the sparkly effect from the tiles into the grout, and the grout colour will take on the colour of the glitter.
