Ideal for creating a contemporary look in outdoor areas such as patios, verandas and pathways, Rocastone offers both sublime aesthetics and supreme durability. Constructed from hardwearing porcelain and featuring rectified edges for cleaner grout lines, Rocastone offers a realistic replication of limestone in a convenient porcelain tile form. Unlike genuine natural stone products however, Rocastone will not absorb water and is resistant to staining, making these tiles particularly suitable for external use in gardens, as well as commercial installations. Rocastone looks great when deployed in isolation but even better when use in conjunction with the indoor porcealin floor tile variant to extend an aesthetic from exterior to interior areas.

Q : I have a slabbed patio area ,and I want to raise this area up by 130mm I have purchased the Rocastone tile slab .what is the best system to achieve this should I use the pedestal on hardcore or Use concrete To raise the new level
Use concrete to raise for best results. Allow to fully cure before laying tiles
Q : Do these tiles need to be sealed once installed?
No sealing is needed for these tiles.
Q : How many slabs would I need to cover 25sq mtrs
You would need 70 tiles to cover 25m2
Q : What is the slip rating for these tiles?
Unfortunately, these tiles were not tested. I would highly recommend ordering a sample to ensure these are the right tiles for your project.
Q : Can the porcelain slabs be laid like a conventional patio slab? E.g 40mm of muck on top of a type 1 base ?
No, we wouldn't recommend this as the cement won't absorb into the Porcelain tile efficiently enough to withstand thermal movement through the winter. We would advise laying a cement base. Once cured use our Adesilex P4 SKU: 218220 to adhere the tiles.
