Q : I am interested in getting these for a wet room. It says they are suitable for a bathroom wall or floor but are they slip resistant
We recommend ordering a sample to test the suitability of the tile for your specific needs. These tiles are not matt and so when wet they could become slippery.
Q : hello, Could you tell which floor tile is less likely to chip in usage, between Quartz stone and Polished porcelain floor tiles.
Both tiles are extremely hard wearing and aren’t likely to chip. Quartz tiles are commonly used in shopping malls and airports due to their durability, and a porcelain tile can last anywhere from 100 to 1000 years and is suitable for use anywhere.
Q : Which grout is most suitable for these quartz stone tiles?
Our Ultracolor grout is most suitable for Quartz tiles.
Q : Hi do these tiles sealed or do they need sealing
Yes they do, prior to grouting
Q : What products would you recommend as a base when laying these tiles on top of a concrete floor? What is the minimum recommended width between the 300x300mm tiles when laying them? And are the tiles suitable to use normal floor cleaning products on them eg bleach and water/floor clearers etc or do they require a special cleaner?
Mapei Granirapid adhesive is required to install Quartz tiles and can be used with both solid substrates and plywood. Uk recommended grout width for installing tiles on a floor is 2mm - 3mm. We recommend using a suitable tile cleaning product rather than bleach, such as Fila tile and stone cleaner. Product number: 442865. This is because the cleaner is PH neutral and acid cleaners can be harmful to quartz tiles.
