Jazz up your floors with a splash of 1920s style with Brighton, a fantastic range of ‘hydraulic’ tiles designed to replicate the colourful encaustic-style cement tiles that were all the rage in the roaring twenties.
Key Features
Authentic replication of hydraulic encaustic-style tiles
Eye-catching colourful surface design
Hardwearing porcelain construction
Matt finish
Available in two colour variants: Grey / Blue
Taking their inspiration from the ‘hydraulic’ encaustic tiles that peaked in popularity alongside the Art Deco movement, these visually astounding floor tiles are the antithesis of boring flooring. Constructed from durable porcelain and available in two colourful surface designs, Brighton certainly rocks and is guaranteed to turn heads no matter where it’s installed! Brighton tiles are scored down the middle to create faux grout lines, giving a singular tile the appearance of four smaller tiles. For a pleasing finish, these faux grout lines require grouting, so if you are looking for a matched grout line throughout the rest of the installation we recommend a 2mm joint.

Q : Can you tell me as this tile has cut grooves to make it look like smaller tiles . Do you grout these as well ?. As they are quite thin grooves and generally grout lines are thicker.
Yes, the Brighton grey is scored down the middle to make one tile look like 4 smaller tiles. These score lines would require grouting as well, if you are after a match grout line we would recommend a 2mm gap.
Q : Could you tell me if there is any blue in this tile not clear from picture if blue or dark grey, thanks.
Brighton grey is a mixture of White, Light Grey and Dark Grey. Take a look at the video just underneath the Image it gives the best reflection of the colour of the tile.
Q : I primarily want these tiles for my bathroom floors' however I was wondering if they would be ok to use on a shower wall to create a feature wall effect in our ensuite walk in shower. This isn't essential just an idea but didn't know if it would work?
Yes, these are suitable to use in a shower.
Q : I would like to use the Brighton Grey tile on the wall as a splashback behind our range cooker. Would this tile be suitable for this? If so, would you recommend sealing it?
These tiles are suitable for use behind a range cooker yes. However, they would not need sealing as they are a glazed tile.
Q : Is the darker colour in the middle black or blue?
The Brighton Grey tiles are made up of 3 main colours, a Stoney white base colour and then lighter and darker grey in the pattern.
