Nice looking and good quality tile

I ordered a sample for my patio. The tile looks nice, good quality and great colour. The tiling is yet to be done.

Communication was an exemplar. Delivery spot on. The drive was so helpful and patient even though our road is so busy and a total nightmare. Our installer said they are a great product to cut and work with. The look - amazing!! I wish I could include a photo with this review. Thanks TM - you’ve done us proud, again (our hallway tiles were amazing too).

These look absolutely stunning, a pain to cut, but reassuring as they are solid. Great size and none slip surface which doesn't detract from the look of the tile. Good price for such a good tile.

Lovely tile I'm very pleased with the quality, and the overall look. There was a blip with the planned delivery, and it was difficult to reach anyone by telephone at the time, but Tile Mountain did what they could, and was quick to offer compensation. Yes, I would use Tile Mountain again.

I’ve read 20mm thickness is average size / these are smaller does that mean more prone to cracking?

logo

Our advice: This tile is one of our highest quality tiles coming from one of our top manufacturers in Italy. Providing the tiles are installed correctly onto a cured concrete base and adhered with an exterior tile adhesive they would not be prone to cracking.

Can you drill holes through the tiles to secure a greenhouse

logo

Our advice: Yes, we would advise using a diamond-tipped drill piece.

You advised that Granito Outdoor tiles should not be laid onto a wet mortar base. However one of your answers below states that you should use a primer if laying on a wet base so I am a bit confused. What type of base do you recommend that they be laid on?

logo

Our advice: Ideally, you would be installing onto a cured concrete base and adhering with an outdoor tile adhesive such as our Adesilex P4 Grey Floor Adhesive 20kg. In regards to a wet mortar method, we could only advise on our Norocss Rock Tite system which comprises of a three-part installation Primer, Mortar, and Brush-In grout. All three products would need to be used as advised by Norcros in order for a sound installation to be achieved. In regards to any other mortar, we couldnt advise.

what depth of wet mortar base do you recommend?

logo

Our advice: We wouldn't advise laying these tiles into a wet mortar mix.

Can these tiles be used for inside. Starting from scratch what is the best base/foundation for laying the tiles outside.

logo

Our advice: These tiles can be used inside however they are a lot thicker than normal indoor tiles, and so this will need to be considered. We always advise installing tiles on a solid concrete base with adhesive and grout.

Do these tiles need priming before laying on a mortar base? They are textured on the underside which suggest priming might not be necessary

logo

Our advice: We would recommend using adhesive to install the tiles with. However, if installing them onto a wet mortar base, the tiles will need to be primed with a bonding primer yes as they are not a permeable product.

Hello! Is the pattern the same on every tile?

logo

Our advice: As these tiles are granite-effect, each tile will be slightly different - in order to create the desired natural aesthetic.
