If laid on a concrete slab which would be 4.2m x 4.2m would I need to put expansion joints into the slab and also the tiles? Our Advice

An expansion joint on a project of this size would not be necessary.

Hi, can you treat the tiles with anything to make the rain wash away?Our Advice

When fitting, please take care to allow a small incline (your tiler will be aware of this) to allow the rain water to naturally run off the tiles, instead of causing standing water.

I have laid 90mm sand and cement fibre based screed for installation to external patio area. Can you recommend adhesive and whether I should use primer?Our Advice

If you are using an adhesive, you will not need to use a primer, the adhesive we recommend is our Adesilex P9 White Slow Setting Adhesive 20kg (SKU 005120).

Do you need to lay matting below which will absorb any movement from the patio... rather than the tiles ...... also what's best way to cut them ... disc cutter with water feed on a bed of sand???Our Advice

We recommend laying the tiles on a concrete base using a flexible adhesive suitable for external use. The best way to cut these tiles is with a Diamond Tipped Wet Wheel Cutter suitable for 20mm tiles.
