Hi you mentioned that can be used on sturdy walls. Are the Evolution tiles OK to go on new 100mm Stud Walls, made of wood and HardieBacker Backerboards for a walk in shower? Our Advice

Yes, that would be suitable.

How much does a single tile weigh? Our Advice

Each tile would weigh approx 11.64kg.

Can these tiles be used on a kitchen wall? Our Advice

Due to the size the Evolution Matt Natural Black Floor Tile (SKU 439510) it is typically used as floor tile, however, it can be used on the wall if the substrate is strong enough to take the weight. We would recommend discussing this with a tiler.

How do you lay these tiles externally. i.e. what is best sub-base build up and do you need adhesive? Our Advice

For installing evolution tiles outdoor, we would recommend tiling onto a solid concrete base using a flexible adhesive to install the tiles down onto the secure base. We would also recommend using a flexible grout.

Hi it is a new build house the walls are standard new plasterboard ...is there any special preparations for these tiles ?Our Advice

We would recommend priming the plasterboard before installing the tiles using Primer G (SKU: 020105).

Hi can you confirm that the matt evoloution can be used for both floors and walls as your description suggests yes but your title states it as a floor tileOur Advice

The evolution tiles are suitable for both wall and floor use, however, we would only recommend using on walls if the wall is sturdy and secure. If you would like to let us know what type of wall you are looking to tile onto, we would be happy to advise further.

Hi, they look very light in the picture, are they actually a light grey rather than black? Our Advice

The Evolution Matt Natural Black tiles are a charcoal black rather than a grey colour. We would always recommend having a sample before purchasing.
