What underlay should be used.
Our advice: You could use on of our mattings these can be found in our Accessories section of the website. We would advise calling us on 01782 223822 or emailing us at customer.service@tilemountain.co.uk to discuss this further as matting is not always needed.

We have a block & beam floor with a large span of 10m x 6m. We plan to put an anti fracture membrane under the tiles as there is a bit of bounce due to span. We also have heavy furniture as this is a kitchen/dining/living area. What is the PEI rating & would these be suitable? Thank you.
Our advice: This tile is PEI 5 which is the highest PEI rating.

is there much difference between these tiles and the extreme matt ones please
Our advice: The Black Matt Lounge Tile is slightly thicker and comes with an anti-slip rating of R9. They are produced by different manufacturers so they would have slight cosmetic variances, but overall the style and colour seem to be the same.

These tiles are specified as floor only, but could they be used as a feature wall in a walk in shower?
Our advice: The Lounge Black Matt Porcelain (SKU: 431285) is suitable to use as a wall tile in a shower area. The only consideration would be that the substrate is strong enough to take the weight, we recommend discussing this with your tiler.

Are these tiles suitable for outdoor use?
Our advice: The Lounge Black Matt tiles (SKU: 431285) are suitable for external use as they are a porcelain tile rendering them water resistant and frost proof. This tile also has a matt finish an anti-slip rating of R9 giving it an element of grip factor. We recommend ordering a sample to ensure its suitability for your project.
