Oyster Split Face mosaics are a great way to bring wall spaces to life thanks to their striking, randomised appearance.Consisting of natural slate strips cut to varying lengths, widths, and depths, these tiles really bring character to a room, regardless of where they’re installed.

We strongly recommend customers request a full-size sample to appreciate the variations in colour and pattern throughout the tile.

Q : Can you use splitface tiles in a fireplace

Answers (1)
Advice

The Oyster Split face Mosaic (SKU 440230) would not be suitable for areas where they may come in direct contact with high temperatures. For this we would suggest using a porcelain tile like our Yosemite Grey Split Face tile (SKU: 437900).

Q : do you do corners for split face

Answers (1)
Advice

We do not supply corner tiles for the Oyster Split Face Mosaic (SKU: 440230) . To combat this we would suggest cutting the tiles at a mitre to achieve a corner join.

Q : If I tank behind them with a tanking membrane can I use on bathroom feature where it will get the occasional splash?

Answers (1)
Advice

We do not recommend using the split face tiles where direct water can hit as the tiles do not require grouting, if water gets through, they can start to loosen from the wall. In regards to the occasional splash, it is down to your discretion however as long as this is not a lot of direct water, this should be okay to use.
