Q : 2qs. 1. Do I need to use spacers and grout if it’s not in a wet area? 2. Is it possible to use 1mm spacers between tiles if required?
We would always recommend using spacers to ensure that the tiles are correctly installed. The Ribera Tiles, as with all tiles must be grouted we would recommend a minimum of 2mm for this tile range on the wall.
Q : Can these tiles be applied to a retaining wall outside and how would you apply them?
Yes the tiles are suitable for this kind of wall depending on the substrate material. You would apply with adhesive with a minimum of 2mm grout line
Q : I have been advised to use a grout in the bathroom with anti fungi additives in does your ultra colour cement grey 113have these if not can you advise suitable alternative to use withRibera slate effect wall tile
Our Ultracolour Cement Grey is water repellant and mould resistant. This is definitely the grout that we would recommend you use with the Ribera Slate Effect Wall Tile.
Q : Do this have to be grouted? Want to use on a feature wall in our living room but don't want to grout. Thanks
The Ribera Tiles as with all tiles must be grouted using a minimum of 2mm for this tile range on the wall.
Q : Hi, I note the advice that the tiles need to be fitted with a 2mm grout line in order to be used in a shower. Having received the tiles I'm struggling to see how I can achieve a 2mm gap around the interlocking sections. I can pull the tiles apart and get 2mm between the ends of the interlocking sections, but the sides are right close to each other. It looks difficult to get any grout in at all here. Please advise.
We suggest using a 2mm spacer to achieve the desired space between the tiles. On the horizontal joints between the interlocking sections, it will not be possible to obtain a 2mm gap. As long as the gap is filled it will be suitable for a shower area. The tiles need to be grouted to ensure no water can get behind the tile.
