Ultimate Combinations: White + White

Yes, we’re the first to admit that we love a bit (well, ok, a lot!) of colour, although sometimes it makes a refreshing break within a whole-home scheme to have one or two rooms that are a calm contrast to vibrant colour. So, with that in mind, we thought that it’d be rather nice for this month’s edition of Ultimate Combinations to feature White + White for a touch of laid-back, cool, calm and collected style …

On the Wavelength

Sweet White Waves wall tiles have a distinct, structured matt finish with a waves pattern – perfect for a low-key bathroom scheme that is calm and elegant. These interesting ceramic tiles sit beautifully with a white bath – for a similar style, take a look at the  Bromley 1700mm Freestanding Bath from our sister company,  Bathroom Mountain. There’s a little bit of colour in the scheme, thanks to our Briana porcelain floor tiles, which are encaustic-style, with a Rose pink and soft grey pattern.

White Hotel-Luxe-Style

Our Carrara Matt White Wall Tiles measure 600mm x 300mm, and as they’re in tough porcelain, are also suited to floor use. Get that very chic (and high-end) look of real marble at a fraction of the price with these matt porcelain tiles -and of course, there is no upkeep necessary. White fittings and a touch of rose gold adds just the right amount of contrast.

Straight Lines + Curves

The simplest combinations are often the most successful – as well as being easy to plan. Here, our Linear White Matt Wall tiles are lined up horizontally, ladder-style, and look amazing paired with pale cabinetry and a round basin and mirror. For a similar cabinetry, the Bermuda Chalk White collection may fit the bill, and for a similar basin, consider the Louisiana Counter Top basin, both from collections at Bathroom Mountain

More Marble Looks

Barbados White Marble Effect Wall & Floor tiles are another marble-style option, these have a glossy finish, and measure 600mm x 300mm. Paired with plain, white-painted walls and a white basin, these tiles look just right in white. The design replicates real statuary marble, tiles are available in 600mm x 600mm and 600mm x 300mm.

Finishing Touches

A white marble-finish candle pot from Baylis & Harding will look elegant in a white + white interior scheme. This is from the new Elements range, with a White Tea & Neroli fragrance.

White + White + White

Three different whites are an Ultimate Combination here; it’s an interesting use of textures and styles. For the right-hand wall, and floor we’re using Quartz Stone Snow White in the 600mm x 300mm format. For the side of the bath, try our Place White Marble Effect wall tiles. White Bath, White Tiles

This Ultimate Combination of a stylish white roll-top bath looks simply perfect with our Carrara White Matt Marble Porcelain floor tiles. The large square format, at 605mm x 605mm can be laid diagonally for a spacious look, and there are two other sizes available, 600mm x 300mm and 150mm x 75mm for a more intense look on the wall – or perhaps as a border. Match this look the wonderful  Tonbridge 600mm Roll Top Bath with Chrome Feet from our sister company Bathroom Mountain

Plain White Perfection

Once again, white tiles and white cabinetry hits the sweet spot for our Ultimate Combinations theme. These are Kromatika White Wall Tiles with a matt finish, in porcelain. They also come in a host of colours too, for colour aficionados! White cabinets look sleek and simple, adding a cool finishing touch to this scheme.

Excellent Accessories

Add a little colour and pattern to an all-white scheme with this gorgeous Paradise Parrot White Boudoir Cushion from The French Bedroom Company.

White Walls, White Floors

Keep it pale and sophisticated in the bedroom with our Atlantis White Wall & Floor Tiles in porcelain, with a plank format measuring 880mm x 240mm. Suited to both walls and floors throughout the home, and with a look of aged/vintage bleached white wood, these tiles could easily run through a whole house for a cool, clean look. These planks don’t need sealing, have a high anti-slip rating, can be used with underfloor heating, and could even extend to outside use. Potentially a perfect choice for a whole-house scheme.

Another Excellent Accessory

It’s always better to have a pair of cushions, we think! So what about this Tranquil Palms Tropical Boudoir Cushion from The French Bedroom Company, as before, to add a touch of colour to a predominately white scheme.
