Dear Team, Can these tiles be laid outside? Thank you in advance.Our Advice

They can be, providing the tiles are installed onto a cured concrete base and adhered using an exterior tile adhesive. The tiles would also require a minimum of a 5mm grout joint our Ultracolor Anthracite (Charcoal) 114 Flexible Grout 5kg SKU: 6011405A would be suitable for this.

You could use on of our mattings these can be found in our Accessories section of the website. We would advise calling us on 01782 223822 or emailing us at customer.service@tilemountain.co.uk to discuss this further as matting is not always needed.

These tiles are specified as floor only, but could they be used as a feature wall in a walk in shower?Our Advice

The Lounge Black Matt Porcelain (SKU: 431285) is suitable to use as a wall tile in a shower area. The only consideration would be that the substrate is strong enough to take the weight, we recommend discussing this with your tiler.

What cleaner can I use on these tiles?Our Advice

For cleaning the Lounge tiles, we would recommend using Fila tile and stone cleaner (SKU: 430655), this product would be suitable for everyday maintenance.

Are these tiles frost Proof please? We are using it for an external balcony . The surface is a concrete screed so what adhesive would you recommend? Does it need a sealant prior to the adhesive? many thanksOur Advice

The Lounge Black Matt tiles are frost proof as they are made from porcelain, which would make them suitable for use in an external area. We would recommend priming the concrete prior to installation using the Primer G (SKU: 020105). The tiles do not require sealing as they have a matt finish and are not porous. We would recommend using the Keraflex Grey Slow Setting Adhesive (SKU: 437345) for the area and project you have described.
