I have used Tile Mountain to renovate 3 properties and never had a service issue. I recently received an order of substantial cost and number of tiles. When contacting Tile Mountain to enquire about a return of the unsused excess tiles from the job, I was informed that this was not possible, despite the tiles being unopened, boxed and not damaged. The excess that I need to return is 184 tiles, equating to over £150. The escess is due to overestimation by the tiler when measuring. I have contacted Customer Service about this and whilst I understand that the current policy is that partial returns cannot be accepted, the Customer Portal allows you to submit a return of any number of individual tiles. Therefore, this does not align with their policy and serves as false reassurance. I am disappointed in the service that does not protect customer's rights and this has resulted in considerable financial detriment. It was suggested that I try to sell the tiles privately, but as you can appreciate, I will not be reimbursed the same cost.

The terracotta tile was a great match for my floor repair. I needed 9 tiles and ordered 15 which was just as well because one tile was already broken in transit. They came stacked flat one on top of the other with no protection between each. The packing looked after side to side motion but there was not enough compression vertically to prevent impact. I am surprised only one broke and suspect it is carrier dependent. I am sure you have considered this difficult issue many times but maybe a packing strap clamping them together might help with small quantities.
